Estonia Pet Import Requirements
Official veterinary regulations, microchip standards, rabies rules, and breed restrictions for entering Estonia.
1. Microchip & Identification
Microchip (ISO compatible) Must be implanted on the same day or prior to the rabies vaccination.
2. Rabies Vaccination
Dogs and cats must have a valid anti-rabies vaccination.Â
-The pet animal must be at least 12 weeks old at the date of vaccination. -The date of vaccination took place after implantation of or reading the number of the microchip.Â
-The validity period of the vaccination starts from establishment of the protective immunity but not later than in 21 days after primary vaccination and remains valid until the date the authorized veterinarian or official veterinarian has stated in the pet passport.
3. Titre Tests & Bloodwork
Rabies blood test required from rabies risk countries at least 30 days after rabies vaccination. At least three months must elapse between the blood test and entry into the country. 5. Breed Restrictions
Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) require dogs, cats and ferrets brought from Russia and Belarus to have undergone a rabies antibody titration test before being introduced into the Union territory. The amendment concerns both commercial and non-commercial movements of dogs, cats and ferrets and will enter into force on 16 September 2024.
