- All brachycephalic/snub-nosed breeds — embargoed May–Oct; allowed Nov–Apr only under indemnity waiver in crate 1 size larger than standard
- Pit Bull type breeds
- Japanese Tosa
- Dogo Argentino
- Large/aggressive breeds (Mastiff, Rottweiler, Doberman) — accepted only if not being imported into UAE; must travel in reinforced CR82 crates

Emirates SkyCargo is well-managed but DXB summer heat makes May–September cargo infeasible for most pets. Brachycephalic breeds have a narrow travel window (November–April) under strict indemnity conditions. We plan Emirates cargo bookings 8–12 weeks in advance.
