Official veterinary regulations, microchip standards, rabies rules, and breed restrictions for entering Philippines.
1. Microchip & Identification
ISO 15-digit microchip required.
2. Rabies Vaccination
Dogs/cats should be vaccinated against rabies at minimum age of 12 weeks of age;
OR Dogs/cats vaccinated against rabies earlier than 12 weeks of age shall be given a booster shot with owner consent before applying for SPSIC Import Clearance.
Philippines recognize the 3 year vaccine
Anti-rabies vaccination of pets from rabies-free countries based on current standings with the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) may be waived.

4. Quarantine Requirements
30 Days Home Quarantine from date of arrival is required (meaning pets are not allowed to go out of the owner’s residential area).
5. Breed Restrictions
No Government breed restrictions or heat/cold embargoes.

1. Importation of Dogs/Cats etc must have an Import Permit/SPS Clearance upon arrival at the airport.
2. Original documents are required: Health Certificate from Origin/Import, Permit/SPS, Clearance/vaccination records.
3. All importation is subject to payment of Duty/Tax except covered by a Tax Exemption to persons/individual who are allowed to avail of the same. This would include: expatriates/diplomats. The Tax Exemption must be filed and approved prior to arrival of the pets(dogs/cats,etc.)
4. Birds and other exotic species must have a CITES Clearance.
