USA and Canada are AFCD Group II — no mandatory quarantine for fully compliant pets. Prohibited breeds: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro. Bengal cats must be 5th generation or above from wild ancestry. The AF240 permit must be approved before any flight booking — this is the most common sequencing error. Getting Around
Navigating Hong Kong with your pet.
One of the biggest anxieties of pet travel is local transit. Here's everything you need to know before you land.
Public Transit
Dogs are permitted on the MTR in hard-sided carriers only. KMB buses accept small pets in carriers at driver's discretion. Hong Kong's tram (Ding Ding) is a practical option for carrier-sized dogs across HK Island.
Private Cars
Our vetted Hong Kong chauffeur network covers HKIA across Kowloon, the Island, and the New Territories. All vehicles are climate-controlled for the subtropical humidity. AFCD-cleared pets accepted with advance notice.
On Foot
Hong Kong has official off-lead Dog Recreation Areas (DRAs) across HK Island and Kowloon — we map all confirmed locations by neighbourhood. The MacLehose Trail and Sai Kung Country Park accept leashed dogs on most sections.
Private Ground Transport
Climate-controlled, GPS-tracked fleet. Seamless door-to-door service between cities or to your final destination.
