Why We Exist
We built Paws en route after watching a close friend struggling to find a reliable solution to relocate her own furry family member. The systems that were supposed to help her were incomplete, inconsistent, and in some cases simply wrong. She nearly missed her move date because of a paperwork error that a trained specialist would have caught in sixty seconds.
What we learned from that experience, and from thousands of trips since, is that most of the difficulty in pet travel is not inherent to the process. It is the result of fragmented information, inconsistent vet briefings, and an industry that has not been held to a standard. We decided to build the standard.
Seven years later, we have moved fifteen thousand animals without a single safety incident. That record is not a marketing claim. It is the output of a team that takes veterinary compliance personally and refuses to book a trip they cannot guarantee.

Every route is reviewed by our in-house health clearance team before a single document is filed. We generate exact preparation timelines for your local vet and review every certificate for correctness, so no surprises arrive at the border.
Proactive Safety Protocols
We monitor tarmac temperatures, airline climate controls, and embargo windows in real time. If conditions fall outside the 45°F–85°F safe envelope, we halt the route immediately and rebook before your pet is ever at risk.
24/7 Concierge Support
Our team is on call through every moment of the journey. Flight delays, unexpected layovers, last-minute documentation requests: we handle them in real time so you receive one calm update, not a cascade of problems to solve.
Safety Standards
Six commitments we make on every single trip.
Pre-flight temperature screening
We check tarmac and cargo hold conditions 72 hours before departure. Routes outside the 45°F–85°F envelope are halted before your pet is ever at risk.
Breed-specific pre-screening
Brachycephalic animals receive individual risk assessments before every booking. We will not book a route we cannot guarantee for a specific breed.
Direct flight preference
We book non-stop routes as the default. Every exception is documented, reviewed, and approved by our health clearance team before confirmation.
Layover monitoring
Our local partner network monitors your pet at every ground stop. You receive a status update at each transition, not just at origin and destination.
Destination clearance verification
We confirm inspection slot availability and border authority readiness before you check in. No surprises at arrival.
Post-arrival wellness check
24 hours after delivery, we confirm your pet's wellbeing with your vet or destination contact. The trip doesn't end until we know they're settled.
