6. Customs & Import Rules

Customs and Excise Administration

Cats and dogs must be accompanied by their original documents.

Pets must enter Morocco via Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport. Pets can enter in the cabin, as checked baggage or air cargo.

Upon arrival in Morocco, your pet will be subject to a veterinary health control, performed  by a veterinarian of the National Office of Sanitary Safety and Food products, in charge  at the border post.

Customs officials are not always available for clearance and can take up to 48 hours to clear a pet.

It is highly recommended to use a clearing agent in Morocco to avoid these clearing times and a power of attorney will be required.
